Character Generator Program
Hey, guys!
Today we have added a set of programs that allow you to select parts and create characters.
This set uses an open source program that runs on JAVA.

This set contains many Japanese files, so I don't know if it will work correctly on your PC, but you can create a variety of characters, so please try it out.
I'm sorry if it doesn't work.
Simple usage is explained with animated GIF.
1. Starting the program
JAVA must be installed in advance.
2. Selecting and changing parts
Included in Japanese file names kanji "男" means "male" and the kanji "女" means "female".
3. Change color
"色相" = Hue, "彩度" = Saturation, "輝度" = Brightness, "コントラスト" = Contrast
4. Save image
5. Using presets
You can also add your own character with the star icon.
6. Switching profiles

It seems that the Japanese folder or file name, or the Japanese in the configuration file is not being read correctly.
I made this one as a test file, so please try it out.

Only the "Skin" and "Wear" folders have English names. In "Skin", only ghosts and skeletons have English file names. Please check if the files are displayed in "Wear" and if the files other than ghosts and skeletons are displayed in "Skin".
If you can solve the problem by just changing the folder name to English, you can do it quickly, but if you need to change the file name as well, it will take time.

It looks like the reason is that you don't have any Japanese fonts installed. First of all, I think I can deal with it by changing the folder name to English, and I'll upload it soon. The file names will take some time, so I'll deal with them eventually.
The file names are less important. The program works with English folder names, even if I don't understand the items' name. Thank you for the time you'll take for this!
Hi, this is SO useful! Uh, but how can you get all those stuff in the gifs you posted? And how to do you add those thing like "+Hair" or something? I don't know japanese or chinese so I can't read the stuff properly.
It's all in the download file "ぴぽや32×32キャラチップ素材(キャラクターなんとかJ用)itch.zip".
Adding a part image is relatively easy, but adding a category like "+Hair" is a complicated operation, and I cannot explain it in English. Sorry about that.

As for a non-Japanese user: I am able to open the application and the menus are in English for me. My machine was showing weird Unicode characters instead of Japanese characters. I had to go to my system config and change my Locale (language) to Japanese. Then my PC was able to read the Japanese characters and it worked.
I used your pre-set of characters. Do you think in the future, you will make more types of hairs, costumes, eyes, items, etc? I'm using that tool to generate NPCs for my game and it works like a charm!

I don't think anything is missing. I'm creating an RPG, so I need many different NPCs. I really love the fact that you can change the color balance and HSV values. I think the only thing I'm still missing, is a variety of costumes. And maybe some more haircuts. Overall, the set is really complete and will definitely provide me with unique characters for some time. :) Looking forward to future releases! If I ever release my game, you'll have a special note in the credits. :)

No special attention is required for credits. There is no problem with the license of this program.
